SUMMARY OF PRACTICE
Michelle regularly defends large and small corporations, non-profits, boards of education and municipalities and their various subdivisions in complex employment matters. She is experienced in all aspects of litigation from pleadings through appellate practice. Clients include government entities with employees who are union members, as a result of which she is practiced in managing the special considerations that occur in that circumstance. Her experience includes representing management in employment law matters, including claims based upon NJLAD, CEPA, ADA, FLA, FMLA and civil rights claims under §1983. Venues in which she appears include the courts and government agencies, including EEOC, the DCR and the OAL. Ms. Schott regularly assesses potential risks to clients prior to and during the litigation and other processes and devises strategies to limit those risks.
