SUMMARY OF PRACTICE
Mark Mattia received his B.A degree in History from Rutgers University. He then attended Widener University School of Law where he received his J.D. in 1981. As a member of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars, Mattia has more than 30 years of experience in all phases of litigation and coverage disputes involving personal injury, premises liability, and toxic tort. He has engaged in civil defense on behalf of both carriers and their insureds. Mark also has experience in negotiation and has consistently resolved cases resulting in favorable settlements. He is a former paralegal instructor at Delaware Law School.
After law school, Mark spent a year as a law clerk to the Superior Court of New Jersey in Essex County before he served as a staff member to the New Jersey State Senate. Mark also gained experience at Hannoch Weisman. Mark joined the Purcell firm in 1993.
