Judge Schott became Counsel to the firm after having served 25 years as a Judge of the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey. During her tenure as a Judge she sat in all divisions of the trial court, with the majority of her time devoted to presiding over civil matters. She has presided over and assisted parties in resolving personal injury, legal and medical malpractice, contract, real estate and products liability cases as well as cases involving claims of employment discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination. Prior to taking the bench Judge Schott was a partner and founding member of a leading New Jersey labor and employment firm. She had also served as a Deputy Attorney General with the New Jersey Division of Law and Public Safety and began her career as a law Clerk to the Hon. David Furman, a Judge of the Appellate Division of the Superior Court.
Judge Schott chairs the firm’s Arbitration and Mediation practice, utilizing her experience to serve the legal community as an arbitrator, mediator and Discovery master. Judge Schott has been retained to investigate allegations of discrimination, bullying and harassment and she is available to confer and advise concerning pending litigation and to serve as a Hearing Officer in employment matters.
